NoteME is a plain text editor for ME-OS that can save files in any plain text format, and is used for writing and reading files accessible by the OS. The app can write only externally and not within the OS's local files, but can read external and local files without an issue.

Features

A small Image Viewer window with a picture of coral reefs open. Taken in version 0.0.58

Image Viewer's main use case is for opening images and listing through them. Opening an image in a directory will load up a "playlist" of images to go through in the same directory, making image browsing very simple. There are also basic zoom and panning functions as well to inspect images closer. Tabs are opened when multiple images are opened from the File Surfer.

History

For a while, the default way to view images in ME-OS was through the File Surfer. However in version 0.0.57, Image Viewer was introduced as a standalone windowed application. This program was one of the first to utilize that updates windowed framework features, and made it fully independent from the File Surfer.

In version 0.0.58, Image Viewer got the ability to load and play animated gifs.
